Terms & Conditions
Obligations of fellowship recipients: reporting requirements, attendance commitments, and the SANOG code of conduct.
The following are the Terms and Conditions applicable to the Fellowship of SANOG44. All Fellows applying for the Fellowship are required to accept these Terms and Conditions:
- The decisions of the SANOG 44 Fellowship Committee are final and not negotiable.
- Successful Fellows will be requested to accept or decline their fellowship by email reply to the invitation from the SANOG Fellowship Committee Chairs as per the schedule. The formal acceptance of the Fellowship must include a copy of their confirmed and paid for flight itinerary to Kathmandu. There are no exceptions.
- SANOG Fellows are required to notify the Fellowship Committee if their role, employer, country of residence or citizenship, or industry changes during the period between submitting their application and participating at SANOG 44.
- SANOG Fellows are required to submit a written report to the Fellowship Chairs about their Fellowship participation at SANOG 44 within two weeks of the conclusion of SANOG 44. The report needs to be written in the Fellow’s own words, two A4 pages (1000 words) covering the Fellow’s daily learning activities and experiences during SANOG 44. Reports must be of publication standard as they may be published on the SANOG website.
- The contribution towards air travel and/or daily allowances may be paid directly to the individual awardees during or at the end of the conference.
- The accommodation provided for Fellows is a single occupancy room and includes breakfast; this is prepaid by SANOG. All Fellows must have sufficient funds to cover any incidental costs incurred in the hotel or in Nepal. SANOG is not responsible for costs incurred by Fellows and is unable to provide any cash advance.
- SANOG Fellows are recommended to be adequately covered by suitable and sufficient medical and travel insurance. SANOG is not responsible for Fellow travel issues, loss or medical matters.
- SANOG Fellowship is a privilege and all Fellows are required to participate fully in the portion of SANOG 44 they have applied for (NPNOG Workshops and SANOG Conference), attend planned Fellow briefings, as well as at all meetings and social events organised by SANOG for the Fellows (both separately and with other delegates). Failure to do so will result in immediate withdrawal of the Fellowship award.
All applicants must be fully aware and agree to accept all terms & conditions of the fellowship as stipulated in the application webpage.
